As part of the German Energy Solutions initiative of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy (BMWi), a Hungarian delegation was informed about the potential for industrial companies to save energy and to generate it sustainably. The information trip on energy efficiency in industry and self-supply with renewable energies was organised by energiewaechter together with the German-Hungarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce and took place from 20 to 23 May 2019 in Baden-Wurttemberg.
The operator of an agricultural plant, which ensures an uninterrupted energy supply with a high annual number of operating hours, informed about the potentials of bioenergy. A further company led over the production site, which is 100% supplied with locally generated, renewable energy. During a visit to the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology and Automation in Stuttgart, the delegation gained an impression of the possibilities for increasing energy efficiency. Energy-efficient production could also be experienced in practice during further company visits.
German companies used the business trip to establish initial contacts with representatives of Hungarian industrial companies and to present their energy-efficient solutions - made in Germany. The Hungarian participants emphasized the usefulness of the information and contacts for the realization of own projects.
Hungary has set itself the target of saving more than 10% of its total energy by 2020. The funding opportunities for energy-saving measures are aimed in particular at the building sector and industry. The energy market also offers good export prospects - especially in the areas of photovoltaics and bioenergy.
Companies interested in the target market are cordially invited to take part in the sponsored AHK business trip on the topic of energy efficiency in industry from 7 to 10 October 2019 in order to establish their energy solutions on the Hungarian market.
