Within the study, the characteristics of the German construction sector and the legal framework and incentives for sustainable construction were analyzed, along with assessing the market potentials of individual technologies and applications. Furthermore, concrete strategies for accessing the local market were developed, and the competitive situation was evaluated. The study was complemented by a listing of key industry participants as well as trade fairs and events. Interviews with renowned industry experts were also conducted as part of the study to better contextualize the empirical findings.
On behalf of a German company operating in the photovoltaic sector, energiewaechter conducted an examination of the Slovakian PV market. This included, among other aspects, the identification and engagement of qualified local business partners.
energiewaechter, commissioned by the German Energy Agency (dena), authored country reports on Japan, Jamaica, and Uganda, examining the conditions for the deployment of renewable energies in each location. This involved an exploration of the energy market, energy generation and consumption structure, as well as energy policy backgrounds, laws, approval processes, and grid connection conditions.
As part of the COPLAN program, energiewaechter, on behalf of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, conducted an industry analysis on environmentally friendly and climate-compatible technologies from Germany for the countries of Central America and Mexico. Within this study, a total of 15 experts and 60 companies from the energy sector (renewable energy and energy efficiency), water sector (water treatment, wastewater treatment), and waste management sector (recycling, energy utilization, raw material treatment) were surveyed regarding the region's potential. The industry analysis is part of the COPLAN program of GIZ, which aims to promote the dissemination of environmentally friendly and climate-compatible technologies in Mexico and Central America.
